CIWM Invests In “Virtual” Sustainability Learning Platform

30-08-13(1)picE-learning opportunities for the waste and resource management sector have taken a significant step forward with the announcement by the CIWM that it is investing in the sustainability experts Revise Ltd.

CIWM has taken a significant stake in Revise, which has also attracted investment from intellectual property commercialisation specialists IP Group and venture capital firm Parkwalk Advisors, to launch its Cloud Sustainability software platform www.cloudsustainability.com.

Developed to revolutionise the way sustainability knowledge and training is delivered, the Cloud Sustainability platform helps organisations of any scale to learn about sustainability, comply with complex legislation, and improve performance.

Cloud Sustainability is designed to enable organisations to achieve their sustainability goals at a fraction of the traditional cost. It is already being used by big names, including Cambridge University Hospitals (Addenbrooke’s Hospital), the London School of Economics in the education sector, Sodexo in the facilities management sector, and AmeyCespa and Tradebe in the waste management sector.

E-Learning

In a separate deal, CIWM will also be working alongside the Revise team to develop a comprehensive waste and resource management e-learning offering for both the CIWM membership and a wider industry audience.
