A Liverpool waste company owner died yesterday (20 Jan) after an incident at his industrial unit.
George Howley, 49, of Secure Disposal Services, Liverpool, died after his arm became trapped while operating machinery.
North West Ambulance Service said when they arrived at the scene of the accident at Secure Disposal Services they found Howley with his arm trapped in a machine.
An immediate joint investigation by St Helens CID and the Health and Safety Executive was launched and a post-mortem examination was due to be carried out.
No-one else was injured during the incident, a spokesman confirmed yesterday.
Secure Disposal Services provides skip hire and other waste disposal services across the region.
