About

Britaniacrest Recycling Ltd is a leading waste management provider across Surrey and West Sussex, employing around 90 people from the local community. With decades of experience in both waste management and haulage, the business has built a strong reputation for reliability, knowledge, and service.

Founded in 1993 by Ray Foss, Britaniacrest has grown steadily to become one of the South’s most established independent operators. In 2023, the company was acquired by Qair Group, marking the next phase of its development while maintaining its core identity as a family-run business.

Today, Britaniacrest combines traditional values with a modern, forward-thinking approach. Operating a fleet of over 30 vehicles, the company provides flexible solutions ranging from small domestic clearances through to large-scale construction and commercial requirements.

From its early adoption of recycling practices, Britaniacrest has continued to invest in infrastructure and innovation. A major reinvestment in 2023 saw the development of a modern waste transfer facility, enabling the business to process up to 300,000 tonnes of waste annually while achieving recycling rates of around 90%, significantly reducing reliance on landfill.

Further expansion has included the acquisition of a large site in Horsham, with an additional permitted capacity of 230,000 tonnes, strengthening the company’s operational capability across the region.

Despite this growth, Britaniacrest’s values remain unchanged. The business continues to prioritise trust, clear communication, and long-term relationships, maintaining strong ties with the local communities it serves.
