Derriford Waste Management Solutions

Derriford Waste Management Solutions was formed in 2015 and is part of the University Hospital Plymouth NHS Trust.

Our scope is – The transportation, acceptance and incineration of hazardous and non-hazardous medical, clinical and low-level radioactive waste within the permitted area and arising from NHS and other medical facilities; the storage of resultant ash within the permitted area and disposal off-site; and the transportation, acceptance, segregation, treatment and onward transfer of recyclable waste from the exempt area, arising from University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust only. Compliance with statutory requirements for processes associated with incineration as well as ambient radioactivity at the Derriford Hospital waste facility.
