About

Sodexo is the global leader in Quality of Life services, working in 80 countries and employing 427,000 people worldwide, making us the 18th largest employer in the world.

In the UK and Ireland, we provide waste management services at over 350 sites including hospitals, schools, universities, barracks, pharmaceutical companies and corporate offices. We design, manage and deliver waste management solutions that reflect the increasing importance placed on waste efficiency and corporate responsibility.

In 2017 we lauched Better Tomorow 2025 – the next stage of our global coproate responsibility journey. There are three corporate responsibility actions for which we want our company to be recognised, there are tackling hunger and malnutrition, promoting gender balance and preventing waste.

Our waste solutions help clients improve their economic performance, mitigate risk, engage stakeholders and improve sustainability. Key strengths of our waste management offer include:

  • We have a presence on site which ensures waste management is embedded properly and is continuously improved
  • There are significant interdependencies with other services we provide, particularly cleaning and catering, so where we manage a number of services, we can really drive operational efficiencies
  • Waste management can be included as part of an integrated facilities management contract, as well as introducing it as a new service to our existing clients.
