Recycle Now, the citizen campaign managed by global environmental action NGO WRAP, has published the 2026 Recycle Week Toolkit.
Recycle Week, which has been running for twenty-two years, runs between 14 and 20 September.
The toolkit helps local authorities, businesses, brands, retailers, and community groups get involved with the event and raise awareness of recycling.
The Recycle Week toolkit, which can be downloaded for free, includes editable assets, as well as communications guidance and tips.
Included are:
- Editable Canva assets.
- Editable social media copy.
- A press release template.
- Digital banners.
- Print assets.
Commenting on the toolkit, Lucy Graham, Recycle Now Marketing Manager, said: “2026 has been a huge year for recycling with new and incoming policy and packaging changes.”
“In September – six months after Simpler Recycling came into effect in England – we’ll be turning attention onto another key piece of the puzzle, helping people to recycle better.”
“As the UK’s biggest recycling moment, we’ve released our campaign toolkit to help everyone get ready. This year we’re continuing the theme of Rescue Me, Recycle! But you’ll spot a friendly new face joining the line-up of commonly binned items that can be recycled – Neil the Peel – alongside familiar characters.”
