The webinar and its supporting resources cover the key planning requirements, shares experiences from Councils undertaking actual route optimisation exercises, key data inputs to use, provides advice on how to design and resource collection rounds whether doing tasks internally or commissioning external support and gives tips to avoid costly mistakes.

(1) It’s easy to miss things in a complex routing exercise. Engage with and use a wide range of your key stakeholders – all perspectives will be valuable.
(2) Spend time gathering and cleansing all the necessary data.
(3) Don’t route services in isolation. Changes will impact other services that households receive.
