Amey launches STEM home-learning resources for kids

Waste firm Amey has launched a new Education Hub to provide free access to a range of inclusive activities and resources that offer a taste of the diverse careers that are available in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) subjects.

Partnering with the The Duke or Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) and Girlguiding, Amey has developed a number of activity sheets to ‘plant a seed’ and raise awareness of engineering; encouraging young people to explore engineering in a fun and safe environment.

Resources include an Engineering Challenge Leaders Pack and Activity Sheets.

It also includes a selection of downloadable activity sheets to raise awareness of waste, recycling and the environment.

Amey is also looking to encourage children and families to create a bottle birdfeeder to be in with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes.
