ITV Leeds Celebrate 100% Diversion Of Waste From Landfill

ITV studios in Leeds, the home of the hit series Emmerdale and many other TV successes, are celebrating their achievement in diverting 100% of their waste from landfill in partnership with B&M Waste Services.

Carbon Neutral B&M Waste Services have assisted in implementing successful recycling and waste management strategies to achieve the overall goal of diverting 100% of its waste from landfill.

ITV choice of waste service provider was naturally B&M Waste Services, who work with businesses across the West Yorkshire region and beyond to improve their recycling levels, and are Carbon Neutral, which aligns with ITV’s sustainability agenda.

Since working with ITV, B&M Waste have introduced a range of simplistic total waste management solutions to improve the amount of waste that can be recycled.

“It’s great working with such a forward thinking company such as ITV who have always taken pride in segregation and recycling. We look forward to continuing our work with ITV and further improving segregation at the ITV sites as well as increasing their recycling levels further”

Mick Ashall, Director at B&M Waste Services, said: “It’s great working with such a forward thinking company such as ITV who have always taken pride in segregation and recycling. We look forward to continuing our work with ITV and further improving segregation at the ITV sites as well as increasing their recycling levels further.

“It’s important to provide not only great products and services but top level customer service as well. Being named Customer Focused Business of the Year proves that we take customers’ needs seriously and aim to be able to provide a solution for all.’

At the end of 2015 many parts of the country suffered from flooding including the ITV archive building. When this happened there was a lot of damaged property and belongings. To help with the clean-up operation B&M provided the skips and recycled the contents.

Angela Linsky from ITV, “Since working with B&M Waste the bins are emptied at a time to suit ourselves, nothing is too much trouble for the drivers, they do a great job. We look forward to continuing our work with them, we are thrilled with our current diversion from landfill levels and look forward to the future and improving recycling further. While working with B&M Waste we are confident we can achieve this goal.”
