Roar Techmedia acquires RWM

Roar Techmedia has acquired the recycling and waste management industry’s leading trade show RWM as part of a multi-event deal from Prysm Group.

The Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM), the exhibtion’s partner, has confirmed that it will now work in partnership with the new show organisers to ensure that RWM “continues to be the industry-leading event for the resources and waste sector”.

“RWM is the major event for our sector and CIWM welcomes this opportunity to work with Roar Techmedia to take the event to the next level and create a relevant and exciting offering that meets the sector’s future needs,” said chief executive of CIWM Sarah Poulter.

The RWM event is the perfect place to showcase the dynamism and problem-solving capability of the sector and encourage collaborative working to deliver real resource productivity and efficiency

“Smart and sustainable resources and waste management is rising quickly up the agenda, with major policy developments planned across the UK, the mainstreaming of circular economy thinking, increased support for innovation, and a renewed focus on developing new UK infrastructure to ensure that the UK economy can benefit from our waste materials.

“The RWM event is the perfect place to showcase the dynamism and problem-solving capability of the sector and encourage collaborative working to deliver real resource productivity and efficiency.”

Bradley Maule-ffinch, director and shareholder of Roar Techmedia, added: “We are focused on building events in topical industry sectors, and there are few more topical than this. The opportunity to bring conference-grade content combined with an engaging exhibition to RWM visitors is both exciting and compelling.

“Working in strategic partnership with CIWM and taking time to listen to what our RWM visitors and the broader community want and need from the event, is of paramount importance to us; in fact it is critical to its success.

“There is a passionate and engaged community and the opportunity to help this event reach its full potential has got everyone at Roar extremely excited.”
